SUPPORT STAFFORDSHIRE ACHIEVES PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD

Support Staffordshire  has recently been awarded the Local Infrastructure Quality Accreditation (LIQA), a prestigious award provided by the national charity NAVCA.

The Accreditation is awarded following a rigorous independent assessment process, and demonstrates the good quality support and development services that Support Staffordshire offers to voluntary organisations and community groups in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.

NAVCA’s Chief Executive Officer, Maddy Desforges, said

“We’re delighted Support Staffordshire has achieved the LIQA. We know that local voluntary and community work thrives when it can access the right support. Achieving the LIQA means local charities, community groups and those who want get involved in volunteering can be assured the services they access will be effective and high quality”.

LIQA reviews support provided across four area including providing advice and support to local community and voluntary organisations, and encouraging and nurturing volunteering opportunities.

The LIQA is awarded by NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action), the national membership body for local infrastructure organisations, after an independent assessment by trained assessors.
